Powerco introduces new connection process for customers

From 1 September, Powerco customers will benefit from a new process for new or modified electricity connections. 
 
The change sees Powerco manage the full customer experience, rather than a customer working directly with a Powerco-approved contractor. 

“We’re committed to continuously improving the experience we offer our customers," says Stuart Dickson, Powerco General Manager Customer.  

"This new process will ensure greater oversight of quality, safety, and service, allowing us to engage with customers throughout their journey,” he says. 

Customers will visit the Powerco website and use a new form to guide them, or their electricians, through the process of connecting, or modifying a connection, to the electricity distribution company’s network.  
 
The new process provides customers with greater clarity and certainty in both the connection process and pricing. 

"A key part of improving the connection process is ensuring our pricing is clear and easy to understand," says Stuart Dickson.   

“Moving forward, customers with standard jobs can find out the cost upfront, and this will be the only cost they need to pay," he says.
