Kiwibots

Since 2022, we've been helping spark a passion for STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathmatics) among tamariki through our partnership with Kiwibots.  Kiwibots work with schools and parents to help make STEM learning fun through using robots.  And we are excited to have now supported 9 schools through the programme.

2026 update

At the V5RC Kiwibots Nationals in Tāmaki Makaurau this February, the energy, talent and sheer determination of rangatahi was on full display. Now, 13 teams are preparing to take on the world at the upcoming Vex Robotics World Championships in St Louis, USA - a huge achievement and a testament to the strength of STEM learning in Aotearoa.

We’re proud to play a small part in that journey. Since partnering with Kiwibots in 2022, we’ve helped bring robotics and STEM learning into schools across our communities, supporting everything from competition kits and teacher training to ongoing mentoring and access to regional tournaments. Schools like Spotswood College, Ōtumoetai College, Te Kura Waenga o Tirohanga Monrad, St Peter’s College Pasifika Robotics Group, Te Kura o Roslyn, Te Kura o Takaro,  Highlands Intermediate, New Plymouth Girls High and Boys’ High are seeing that impact firsthand, with students growing in confidence, capability, and ambition every year.

Because what Kiwibots creates goes far beyond robots. It’s problem-solving, teamwork and creativity. It’s giving young people the tools to think differently,  and the confidence to see themselves in the future of technology, engineering, and innovation.

Kiwibots students are consistently placing among the top teams globally, proving that with the right support, our young people can compete, and thrive on the world stage.
We’re proud to stand alongside Kiwibots, helping spark curiosity, open doors, and support the next generation of thinkers, makers, and problem-solvers.
