Wednesday, September 07, 2022

Powerco’s Annual Delivery Report is now available on the website for customers to read.

The report details progress made during year four of the company’s five-year $1.3b Customised Price-quality Path (CPP) work programme – from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.

The CPP programme is designed to deliver a safe, reliable and resilient electricity network, support growth in the communities Powerco serves, and evolve the network for the future.

Here’s some of the mahi from Year Four:

  • 4,475 poles replaced
  • 208km of overhead lines replaced
  • 16,210 tree sites managed
  • $634m spent on network renewal and growth over the past four years
  • Lights kept on for customers 99.95% of the time

Powerco is now partway through the fifth and final year of its CPP programme, with the focus now on leveraging the momentum built in the programme’s early years to deliver the remaining network projects.

Overall, the programme delivers strong foundations for Powerco to enable a sustainable energy future for Aotearoa New Zealand, by providing an electricity network ready to meet growing demand as customers seek to decarbonise.
