Kiwibots

We’re helping spark a passion for STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) among tamariki through our partnership with Kiwibots.

Kiwibots work with schools and parents to make STEM fun using robots.

We’re sponsoring Monrad Te Kura Waenga o Tirohanga and Te Kura o Roslyn, providing two competition kits each, staff training and ongoing support, and registration for regional Kiwibot competitions.

National Operations Manager at Kiwibots Michelle Hazeleger-Mollard says the schools are grateful for Powerco’s support and the opportunities it presents for their students.

“Both of these kura are delighted to have robotics as part of their STEM education. In fact Te Kura Waenga o Tirohanga Monrad are so keen that they built their robot in two weeks and are now signed up to compete at VEX IQ Nationals in December 2022.”
