Powerco thanks customers for helping reduce electricity load

Powerco thanks customers for being mindful of their electricity use this morning as it helped Transpower respond to a potential shortfall of electricity supply.

“We were monitoring the situation closely and we were pleased our load management measures were sufficient to help alleviate the potential shortfall,” says Powerco Head of Network Operations, Caz Haydon.

“I’d like to personally thank our customers for their careful power use this morning,” she adds.

Powerco reminds customers reliant on power for medical reasons to ensure they have a backup plan in place in the event of power outages.
