Festival of Lights

Powerco is a proud sponsor of the TSB Festival of Lights, a free event that runs every summer in the beautiful Pukekura Park in New Plymouth. For six weeks during December and January, some 150,000 people of all ages flock to New Plymouth to enjoy the lights, music, and entertainment.
 
Over the summer of 2022/23 we proudly supported the Festival of Lights on Tour, which saw the festival go regional for the very first time. Pop up events held in Waitara and Inglewood gave the local communities a taste of the festival outside of New Plymouth.
 
Inglewood’s Twilight Picnic was attended by around 550 people who enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment from Zeal, free ice creams and games supplied by Powerco. The 2,500 people who headed along to Illuminate Waitara enjoyed an evening of lights, performances, night markets and more games from the team at Powerco.
