Three-peat for Powerco in Network Utility survey
Powerco has reinforced its status as an environmental, social and governance (ESG) leader.
For the third year in a row Powerco has topped the Networks Utilities section of an international survey that assesses the sustainability performance of real estate and infrastructure portfolios and assets worldwide.
Results from the latest GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) survey also place Powerco sixth out of the 260 global infrastructure asset companies that participated.
Chief executive Nigel Barbour said it was a great result as ESG is at the core of Powerco’s vision of ‘Your Reliable Partner, Delivering New Zealand’s Energy Future’, he said.
“To achieve Powerco’s key strategic objectives, we need to deliver on positive ESG outcomes and the GRESB survey not only helps us measure that performance but also makes good business sense.”
Based in Amsterdam, GRESB independently validates, scores and benchmarks information regarding the sustainability performance of companies, funds and assets worldwide. This includes information on performance indicators , such as energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water and waste.
