Interruption to Masterton Power Supply

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

Power supply to approximately 760 consumers on the outskirts of Masterton was interrupted today after a tractor struck a power pole in Upper Manaia Rd.

Powerco Network Operations Manager Phil Marsh said the outage occurred about 11.20am and supply to the majority of affected consumers was restored by 11.50am.

The tractor incident caused the Akura Substation ‘Edith St’ feeder circuit breaker to trip, cutting electricity supply, he said.

Supply to the remaining 55 consumers without power is expected to be restored by 4pm today.
