Ross Israel
 B COM, LLB, F FINRoss Israel is the head of QIC Limited's Global Infrastructure Division, which manages an investment allocation to infrastructure of more than AU$2 billion.
The primary focus of this division is investment in unlisted infrastructure assets or managed funds across four key sectors: transport (airports, toll roads, ports and rail), utilities (gas, electric, water), social infrastructure and telecommunications.
Mr Israel has 15 years' experience in the infrastructure investment market, as well as a corporate advisory and asset management background.
He is a director and alternate director on a number of investee companies managed by QIC on behalf of its clients in the water and transport sectors.
Before joining QIC in 2006, he was Chief Operating Officer of DUET, which is an ASX-listed utility fund jointly managed by AMP Capital and Macquarie Bank.
Prior to AMP Capital, Mr Israel worked for ABN AMRO and BZW in their Australian infrastructure corporate advisory and European mergers and acquisition teams.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
He was appointed to the Board of Powerco in February 2009.
