POWERCO REVIEWING GAS DECISION

 Gas distributor Powerco is analysing the Commerce Commission's final authorisation, setting prices for gas distribution and metering services provided to more than 100,000 New Zealand customers.Powerco Chief Executive Richard Krogh said "The Final Authorisation is over forty pages in length and the actual decision document is nearly 500 pages and, until we have had time to analyse the findings contained in the authorisation, we are unable to provide further comment."
Powerco is New Zealand's second largest electricity and gas distribution utility with around 400,000 consumers connected to its networks. Powerco's electricity networks are in Tauranga, Thames, Coromandel, Eastern and Southern Waikato, Taranaki, Wanganui, Rangitikei, Manawatu and the Wairarapa. Its gas pipeline networks are in Taranaki, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Wellington, Horowhenua, Manawatu, Hawke's Bay and Tasmania.
