Installing distributed generation and connecting it to our network

Installing distributed generation is complex. If you intend to install distributed generation, we recommend that you familiarise yourself with Powerco's distributed generation policy, a comprehensive document which complies with the Electricity Governance (Connection of Distributed Generation) Regulations 2007.

Our distributed generation policy consists of:

  • an application form and information for medium to large distributed generation systems (above 10 kilowatts) 
  • an application form and information for smaller distributed generation systems (10 kilowatts or less) 
  • general information about fees, connection terms, credits, charges and relevant policies 
  • a glossary of terms.
